Tow Hill Virtual Tour

OMVC has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Provincial Ministry of Environment committing to working in partnership to improve facilities and the experience for visitors to the park in an appropriate and fully accessible manner that adheres to all the environmental and Haida cultural values agreements to date. This MOU was signed off in January 2011.

We have just completed a very successful negotiation with the Provincial Government to renew our parks maintenance contract. This office has now signed off on a 10-year contract to manage all the Provincial parks on Haida Gwaii, which now has been expanded to include Rennell Sound, Golden Spruce trail, Grey Bay on Moresby Island and the ‘Key Hole’ surf area. This contract starts on April 1st 2015 and runs to March 31st 2025.

In addition we have secured and expanded our contract with the Provincial Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations to manage all their parks sites in Rennell Sound, Kagan Bay and Jungle Beach. So we are still the dominant operator on Haida Gwaii when it comes to Parks operations.
